Dear Parents, Welcome back to a wonderful school year.
My name is Rania Farag. I am your son/daughter’s French teacher. I’ll teach him/her French as a second language. I am delighted to have your child in my class this year and looking forward to an exciting year. I graduated from the faculty of young girls majoring in French literature. I have been teaching French for 14 years, and this is my second year at Manor House Schools. I’ll be teaching from year 1 to year 6 in the British elementary school and from grade 1 to 5 in the American elementary school. I believe learning is supposed to be fun so I am going to use different methods and activities. It is my goal to provide all students with an educationally challenging, fun, experience in my classroom. Very important: If you are looking forward to find real improvement for your children’s skills in French language, it’s highly recommended to check every Sunday my website (www.raniafarag.weebly.com), to find the newsletters, homework . Will ask dear parents who aren’t French speakers not to help pronouncing French lessons with the students and to encourage them to listen to audio files, songs and videos so they don’t get confused for the sound of the letters and the words. Students starting from year 3 should study writing as they have to know correct spelling for French and they will start having written assessments and tests. I have extremely high expectations of all my students. I am asking for your help to maintain those expectations by checking with your son/daughter periodically to make sure that his/her homework is being done independently to be able to follow their improvement during the year, and to make sure they bring their materials to class. In case you need a quick reply to a question or a concern it’s better to send me through the contact form on the website as for the message book it takes a week to check it the next lesson in class. So will be delighted to receive all your questions and concerns on the contact form connected directly to my email.
